Our Teachers

Becky Thacker has been the director of STARS Studio with over 30 years of dance and teaching experience. Her teams have performed half-time shows for the Utah Jazz, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and Oakland Raiders. She has choreographed performances for Carnival Cruise Lines and the NFL Pro-Bowl.

Jennalee Moynier attended CEU and SUU and has coached high school cheerleading for 4 years. Jennalee is also trained in ballet and jazz. She is currently teaching at Thompson School during the day and at STARS Studio. Jennalee loves working with beginning dancers to help them develop a love of dance!

Karlee Brotherson has been dancing since the age of three and has had a passion for it ever since. She has danced at several studios and has learned something unique and special from each. She is a 4-year member of the Union High School Cougarettes. She recently place first at 2 solo competitions. Karlee loves working with children and being a part of the STARS Family.

Kaci Murray is a former Union High Cougarette and Dance Sterling Scholar 2011. Kaci has danced at STARS Studio since the age of 5. She earned a scholarship for her dancing abilities from The Pulse Tour Dancing Convention while training with Mia Michaels, Dave Scott, Wade Robson and Shane Sparks. Kaci is a student at the University of Utah pursing a degree in dance. She shares her phenomenal choreography skills with STARS Show Team. 

Mindee Zager danced with the Salt City Utah and Blackfoot Idaho STARS. She was an elite member of USA All-Star Cheerleading Team where she performed a New Year’s Tour in Paris, France in 1999. Mindee has trained with Broadway Choreographer Raphael Garcia, an MTV Dancer and a NYC Ballet Member. Mindee attended Idaho State University and College of Southern Idaho.

Amanda Austin is a nine-time National Clogging Champion. She has performed at Disney World in Florida and in the Junior Olympics in New Orleans, taking overall gold medals. Amanda recently was a finalist on the TV show “Live To Dance.”

Brett Courtright has 6 years of training in tumbling and two years of teaching experience. She competed at USAG Tumbling and Trampoline competitions, USA Gymnastics Region 1 Championships and qualified to go to Nationals in Tennessee for floor and double mini. Brett danced with the Roosevelt STARS for 8 years and will be teaching tumbling this season for preschool through advanced levels.
